We’re four hardworking tool guys with a combined 100+ years of experience in the hardware business. 

 

As you probably guessed, our story starts with a burned-out bulb in a hard-to-reach area. 

 

As a first-time homeowner and busy dad, one of our founders got fed up with having to lug the ladder from the garage every time a recessed light bulb in the ceiling needed changing. So he went to his local hardware store and bought a bulb changing tool.  

 

The tool’s performance didn’t exactly live up to its promises. 

 

Attachments would come loose from the pole and they didn’t fit all areas. The hold on bulbs wasn’t very secure either. And every time a bulb needed changing, he would have to hunt for the right attachment. It wasn’t long before attachments went missing and the tool began gathering dust. 

 

As a tool industry guy, he knew there must be a better way than a flimsy telescoping pole and some poorly-designed attachments.

 

He shared his frustrations with three of his industry friends. They began thinking about how to design a device with enough muscle and the right features to get the job done. 

 

After countless hours of research, testing and sourcing, the patent-pending Bulb Grabber was born.
